Tools Programmer

Do you dream about improving your team’s production pipeline? Have you ever said “See that level over there? The artists used my new Awesomizer-widget to model it!” We are looking for a solid programmer with a deep passion for writing great off-line and MAYA tools to support our content production staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Interfacing with art teams to refine and develop tools for game content creation. 
  • Working with the engine team to generate efficient data for new & existing runtime systems. 
  • Analyzing, organizing, and optimizing code. 
  • Evaluating and integrating 3rd party technology when required. 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or demonstrable equivalent experience. 
  • Proficient in C++, with a minimum of 5 years programming experience. 
  • Strong software architecture skills. 
  • Experience with Maya plugin and mel script development. 
  • Experience with STL, Boost, Flex/Bison. 
  • Windows MFC programming experience. 
  • Proficiency with basic 3D linear algebra (projections, transformations, etc.) 
  • 3D Rendering Pipeline knowledge highly recommended. 
  • Self-motivated, with excellent communication and creative problem solving skills. 
  • Collaborative attitude and a willingness to accept and give constructive criticism. 
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. 
  • Ability to estimate scheduling, and work to a deadline. 
It’s an extra bonus if you have any of the following, but these are not necessarily required:
  • One or more shipped titles, taken from pre-production to Gold. 
  • Strong background in mathematics. 
  • Experience with Python. 
  • Experience designing and implementing user interfaces. 
  • Networked tools experience. 
  • Avid and analytical gamer.
